Chelsea Gwizdala is a Los Angeles-based upright & electric bassist, vocalist, orchestrator, & copyist. As a performer, she has most recently worked with artists such as Beyoncé, Kanye West, Chloe x Halle, Postmodern Jukebox, Jessie Reyez, We Are King, Andrea Bocelli, and more, at venues like the Hollywood Bowl, the Staples Center, the Dolby Theatre, the El Capitan Theatre, the Microsoft Theatre, the Disneyland Resort, Jazz Café (London), New Morning Jazz Club (Paris), as well as international tours in 14 countries. 

 

Shortly after receiving her bachelors in Bass Performance in 2014, Chelsea made her television debut on multiple episodes of the Emmy-winning hit Glee, and has subsequently appeared in commercials and shows across many networks including the CW, Netflix, ABC, FX, and more. She then spent two years as the bassist, arranger, & musical director for Latin America's version of The Tonight Show, Estrella TV's Noches con Platanito. 

 

As an orchestrator and copyist, Chelsea has worked for many prestigious composers and producers within the television, film, and performing industries including Geoff Stradling (Mad Men, The Golden Globes) and Kris Bowers (Bridgerton, Dear White People), as well as for artists like Miss Lauryn Hill, Toni Braxton, and Chloe x Halle. She is currently working under Derek Dixie, musical director and arranger for Beyoncé, and has orchestrated and recorded bass on releases from Beyoncé and Chloe x Halle since 2019.
